Luis Suárez’s move to Inter Miami sees him link back up with Lionel Messi, having shared a dressing room with his close friend during a successful spell at LaLiga giants Barcelona.
The Herons confirmed Suárez’s signing on Friday, with the veteran striker penning a contract that expires at the end of the 2024 Major League Soccer season.
The Uruguayan will also be reunited with Sergio Busquets and Jordi Alba, two further ex-Barça stars who now play for Miami.
I’m very happy and excited to take on this new challenge with Inter Miami. I’m ready to work to make the dream of winning more titles with this great Club a reality. 🗣️ – @LuisSuarez9 pic.twitter.com/T6Ya7MJrXL

What did Suárez and Messi achieve together at Barça?
Suárez, who has moved to MLS on a free transfer after leaving Brazilian club Grêmio, spent six years at Barça, between 2014 and 2020. Signed from Liverpool for around €80m, he scored 197 goals and supplied 100 assists for the Blaugrana.
The 36-year-old formed a lethal partnership with Messi at the Camp Nou; indeed, Barça racked up just under a century of goals in which both players were involved.
